What it does

Shows which group policies are being applied to the computer and the user, and where they come from.

Syntax

gpresult [opciones]

Options and parameters

• /r

  Shows a summary of the applied policies.

• /scope user|computer

  Limits the result to the user's or the computer's policies.

• /v

  Shows detailed information.

• /h fichero

  Saves the report to an HTML file.

• /f

  With /h, overwrites the file if it already exists.

• /user nombre

  Queries another user's policies (requires administrator).

Usage examples

• gpresult /r

  Shows the summary of applied policies.

• gpresult /r /scope computer

  Shows only the computer policies.

• gpresult /h informe.html /f

  Generates a full HTML report.

• gpresult /v

  Shows the result in full detail.

Notes and common mistakes

• To see the computer policies you must run it as administrator.
• It complements gpupdate, which reapplies them.
